A wedding at Brukenthal Palace in Sibiu was interrupted by a medical emergency as many guests fell ill, raising concerns of food poisoning. Emergency services were called to assist the affected individuals, leading to the activation of a red intervention plan. Symptoms included nausea and vomiting, prompting an investigation into the food served. A total of 30 guests were evaluated, with 20 transported to the hospital. Inspections revealed hygiene issues and improper food handling, resulting in the suspension of the catering unit and a fine of 30,000 lei.
