The general strike in the healthcare system continues as negotiations with the Ministry of Health have failed. Hundreds of hospitals are only handling emergencies, leading to significant delays in medical services and financial losses. The strike, the first of its kind in a decade, affects over 500 hospitals across the country, with the highest participation in Iași. A single day of protest results in thousands of postponed consultations and surgeries, amounting to over 5 million lei in delayed services. Recovery of normal operations may take weeks, extending wait times for patients significantly.
