A doua criză din Energie: s-a stricat Termocentrala Turceni. Vârf de consum aşteptat vineri, pe 40 de grade
The Turceni coal power plant has shut down due to a failure, exacerbating the energy crisis as high temperatures are expected to increase electricity demand. The failure occurred when a sealing component of the boiler broke, prompting an emergency shutdown to prevent further damage. The plant, which is over 40 years old, typically requires repairs every few weeks. Authorities anticipate peak electricity consumption of around 7000 MW due to the heat, but assure that there is no risk of power outages. However, energy prices are expected to rise by about 20% this autumn.
