Supporters of Călin Georgescu continue protests outside the Central Arrest in Bucharest, demanding his release. The protests have been ongoing for 22 consecutive nights since his preventive arrest on September 29. Approximately 150 people gathered on October 20, chanting slogans in support of Georgescu. The protests peaked with around 2,000 participants on October 4 but have since seen fluctuating attendance. A significant court hearing regarding Georgescu's legal situation is scheduled for October 23, where the Bucharest Court of Appeal will review a challenge against his preventive arrest. If the court upholds a previous decision to place him under house arrest, he may be released soon.
