Otopeni Airport plans to double its parking capacity by 2028, adding 800 new spaces. The investment of nearly €12 million aims to accommodate the increasing number of passengers, which exceeded 7.7 million in the first half of the year. A new four-level parking structure will be built, with work expected to start by the end of the year. The airport is also encouraging continuous work to minimize delays. Meanwhile, private parking options are becoming popular due to better rates and convenience, as travelers seek alternatives to the busy terminal area.
