67.000 de lire sterline aveau într-o plasă doi români prinși în cafeneaua unde își puneau la cale afacerea ilegală de milioane de lire

A café in Northampton was identified as a base for a cigarette smuggling operation worth £2 million, involving around six million illegal cigarettes. Three members of the group were sentenced following a major investigation by the UK tax authority. The operation was found to have evaded over £2 million in taxes. Surveillance footage showed group members meeting at the café and handling cash. Alin Latco, the café owner, received a sentence of four years and four months for tax evasion. Other members also received prison sentences for their involvement. The UK tax authority emphasized the negative impact of illicit tobacco trade on public services and urged reporting of illegal tobacco sales.
