Although hunger rates decreased for the third consecutive year, the situation remains critical. The average cost of a healthy diet rose to $4.28 per day, making it unaffordable for a significant portion of the population. Additionally, 2.1 billion people experienced moderate to severe food insecurity. In Romania, food banks are working to provide not just basic food items but also a variety of nutritious options to those in need.
