In September 2026, new car registrations fell by 11.5% compared to the previous year, while electrified vehicles saw a 16% increase, capturing 64% market share. SUVs led the market with 61.3%, followed by Class C and Class B vehicles. Gasoline and diesel car registrations dropped significantly, with gasoline down 36.8% and diesel down 43.6%. Full electric cars held an 8% market share, up from 6% the previous year, while plug-in hybrids reached 17%. The best-selling electric models included Tesla Model Y and BYD Dolphin Surf. Light commercial vehicle registrations decreased by 25.2%, and heavy commercial vehicles saw a 6% decline.
