630 de milioane de euro pentru finalizarea căii ferate Brașov–Sighișoara. Guvernul aprobă negocierea împrumutului
The Romanian government approved a €630 million financing contract with the European Investment Bank for the modernization of the Brașov-Sighișoara railway line. The Minister of Finance is authorized to negotiate and sign the contract, which is part of a larger program allowing Romania to secure up to €4.975 billion for strategic infrastructure projects. This funding will support the national contribution to the railway project, which aims to rehabilitate 112.55 kilometers of track for trains traveling at speeds up to 160 km/h. The total project cost is estimated at €2.25 billion, with completion expected by 2029. The modernization is expected to enhance travel times, safety, and infrastructure for both civilian and military use.
