600 de hectare de câmp agricol vor fi transformate într-un circuit de Formula 1. Un magnat al mineritului are un plan de 402 milioane $

South African magnate Neal Froneman plans to build a Formula 1 circuit near Cape Town, aiming to revive the competition in South Africa by 2031. The project, led by Blue Mountain Racing, involves a 600-hectare site and an investment of $402 million, including accommodation and entertainment facilities. Currently in the feasibility stage, the consortium has not secured a Formula 1 race agreement yet. Froneman, a former mining executive and racing enthusiast, emphasizes the commercial potential of the project, which aims to attract 125,000 spectators and host MotoGP events as well. Funding remains a challenge, with plans to cover 40% of costs through equity and 60% through loans, while also creating over 15,000 jobs.
