600 de animale sacrificate la Buzău de inspectorii sanitar-veterinari într-un focar de variolă

Veterinary inspectors in Buzau have begun the culling of over 600 animals due to a confirmed outbreak of sheep and goat pox. This operation follows the identification of the outbreak on September 3 in a non-professional farm in Luciu. After the culling, authorities will monitor the area for any new cases. A compensation committee will be formed to address losses. The outbreak is suspected to be linked to uncontrolled animal movement in the locality, marking the second such incident in Buzau this year, following a previous outbreak in June that led to the culling of around 1,800 animals.
