Romanian students achieved six silver medals, one bronze, and an honorable mention at the International Linguistics Olympiad 2026, competing against teams from 46 countries. The team Romania Doină received an honorable mention in the team event, entering the 'dream team' ranking. The Romanian delegation was supported by professors and coordinated by university staff from various institutions. The event was financially supported by the Ministry of Education and held under the patronage of UNESCO.
