Eight individuals are under investigation in Bucharest for allegedly defrauding driving license acquisition procedures. They reportedly assisted candidates in obtaining medical and educational documents without attending required courses, using hidden audio-video devices to relay answers during the theoretical exam. The group operated from December 2025 to July 2026, charging around 6,000 euros for their services. Prosecutors have initiated legal action, conducting searches that resulted in the seizure of evidence and approximately 400,000 lei. Six suspects have been detained, while the investigation continues with the involvement of various law enforcement agencies.
