58 de cazuri de West Nile raportate în România în această vară

The number of West Nile virus infections has alarmingly increased in Europe, with over 1,000 cases reported in 15 countries. Italy is the most affected, followed by Greece and Spain. In Romania, there have been 58 cases and three deaths among elderly individuals with pre-existing conditions. The virus, transmitted by mosquito bites, typically causes flu-like symptoms, but one in 100 cases can lead to severe long-term effects.
