The Romanian Ministry of Economy has extended the application deadline for the SME Eco-Tech program to December 30, 2026, offering grants of up to €53,000 for green and digital investments. This initiative aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in modernizing their operations. The program provides a mixed financial support structure, including a non-reimbursable grant covering up to 40% of the investment costs, alongside a bank loan of at least 60%. Eligible projects must include a minimum of 40% investment in green or digital equipment. The total budget for the program is approximately 288 million lei, primarily funded by the Swiss Confederation, and it targets the development of SMEs in commerce, services, and production sectors.
