52,741 companies struck off nationwide seven months into 2026

In the first seven months of 2026, 52,741 companies were removed from the register, marking a 3.54% increase from the previous year. Bucharest had the highest removals, while Ialomita recorded the fewest. Significant increases were noted in Galati, Calarasi, and Gorj, while Olt, Vrancea, and Bistrita-Nasaud saw the largest declines. The wholesale and retail sector had the most de-registrations, followed by construction and professional services.
