The global industrial robot count has surpassed five million, marking a 9% increase from last year, according to the International Federation of Robotics. Annual installations exceeded 600,000 for the first time, with Europe seeing over 700,000 operational robots. However, new installations in the EU dropped by 11% in 2025, while China and the US expanded their robot markets significantly. Germany remains the largest European market, despite a decline in installations due to the shrinking automotive sector.
