The event took place in Alba Iulia, featuring competitors from several Balkan countries. Romanian athletes dominated the men's race, securing the top three positions, with Patrick Pescaru becoming the Balkan champion. In the women's category, Lejla Njemcevic from Bosnia and Herzegovina won gold, while Romania's Miruna Măda and Alexandrina Samuilă earned silver and bronze, respectively. This championship marked Romania's first hosting of the Balkan MTB XCM event, highlighting the country's strength in cycling.
