The National Company for Road Investments held a meeting in Pașcani to facilitate access for the construction of the A8 "Union" Highway. Archaeological investigations are ongoing to prepare the site before construction begins. The contractor emphasized the project's significance for regional economic development. The first segment will include multiple bridges, tunnels, and interchanges, with a total contract value of 4.87 billion lei. The project is funded by the European SAFE program and aims to connect Moldova to the highway network.
