The government has allocated 5.1 million lei for urgent dredging works on the Danube due to severe drought, ensuring safe operation of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. The funds will be used for deepening the riverbed in critical areas and redistributing water flow. This funding complements a previous allocation of 7 million lei for similar interventions. The measures aim to mitigate risks associated with low water levels affecting energy production and will be monitored for environmental impact.
