The Romanian Ministry of Environment announced the launch of the "Casa Verde Baterii" program in October 2026, providing 400 million lei for energy storage systems. The funding will no longer follow a first-come, first-served basis but will evaluate applications based on the prosumer's contribution and installed capacity. Eligible applicants must be individuals with solar panels, receiving up to 75% of project costs, capped at 15,000 lei. The program supports expenses for purchasing and installing storage systems with a minimum capacity of 10 kWh.
