Over 400,000 public sector employees are suing for salary increases, including more than 6,000 judges. The Supreme Court reported a record number of cases regarding salary arrears. Currently, there are nearly 84,000 cases involving salary rights for public sector staff. The Supreme Court ruled that the government must pay 1 billion euros in salary arrears to judges. This decision mandates a 25% salary increase retroactive to January 2018, prompting judges to seek payment for their owed salaries.
