The number of pension cases submitted to the Constitutional Court (CCR) has reached nearly 5,000, with the first hearing scheduled for October. These cases challenge the new pension law, Law No. 360/2023, focusing on issues like the principles of contributivity and predictability. Among the cases, three collective actions represent hundreds of pensioners fighting for their rights. The CCR will assess the constitutionality of specific articles from the law, including those related to pension recalculation and early pensions. Although the law has been in effect for two years, no cases have been adjudicated yet, and the court may postpone its decision.
