4,1 miliarde lei pentru reabilitarea căilor ferate

The National Railway Infrastructure Company has initiated a procurement procedure worth 4.1 billion lei for the rehabilitation of Romania's railway infrastructure. The contract is divided into seven distinct framework agreements for each regional division: Bucharest, Craiova, Timișoara, Cluj, Brașov, Galați, and Constanța, each valid for four years. The main goal is to enhance safety and eliminate speed restrictions affecting national rail traffic. Key interventions include replacing worn tracks, rehabilitating ballast, and addressing critical points that hinder train speeds. Funding comes from the budget, with charges applied to railway operators for infrastructure use.
