Supporters of former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu have gathered for the eighth consecutive night outside the Central Arrest, showing solidarity and calling for his release. They brought banners and flags, expressing their belief that he is politically persecuted. Georgescu's wife was recently questioned by DIICOT regarding a fraud case involving him. The protests began after a preventive arrest was approved by the Bucharest Court of Appeal due to allegations of fraud amounting to 1.1 million euros.
