The dispute between Brașov mayors and the Conservation Carpathia Foundation regarding the establishment of Făgăraș Mountains National Park continues. The ADI Ţara Făgăraşului association, representing 30 localities, has sent memoranda to various authorities requesting the halt of the project. They argue that the study promoting the park was developed without local consultation. The association emphasizes their commitment to sustainable tourism and conservation, asserting that local communities should have a say in the park's establishment. They express hope that the Romanian Academy will not approve the project without local consent.
