A series of 30 searches were conducted in Bucharest and surrounding counties regarding counterfeit goods and illicit products. Over 39,000 lei and various weapons were seized. The investigation revealed that individuals used regular transport routes to smuggle counterfeit items into Romania. Following the searches, additional counterfeit products, cash, and mobile phones were confiscated. Authorities are continuing to investigate the financial aspects of these activities, including potential money laundering.
