The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Treaty of Understanding, Cooperation, and Good Neighborliness with Hungary, emphasizing its role in enhancing bilateral relations. Signed in Timișoara on September 16, 1996, the treaty established a foundation for strategic partnership and joint projects. Officials from both countries highlighted the importance of good neighborliness and mutual respect as key to their cooperation, which has strengthened ties within the EU and NATO. The Ministry also stressed the need to protect minority rights and expressed confidence in the continued development of Romanian-Hungarian relations.
