Ukraine's total war costs are projected to reach $155 billion this year, with a funding deficit of $27 billion. Prime Minister Serhii Koretsky announced plans to cover $7 billion through strict austerity measures and budget optimization. Discussions are ongoing with partners to address the remaining $20 billion deficit. This is the first annual cost estimate released by Ukraine regarding the war with Russia. Additionally, Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko has requested an extra €32.6 billion from the EU for next year, which the European Commission is considering due to increased Russian aggression.
