23 de lei pentru educație versus aproape 300 de lei pentru alcool și țigări. Radiografia cheltuielilor lunare ale românilor
In Romania, households spend significantly more on alcohol and tobacco than on education, with an average of 300 lei monthly for vices compared to just 23 lei for education. This disparity highlights a concerning trend where 13 times more funds are allocated to vices than to educational investments. Experts attribute this difference to the immediate gratification provided by vices, contrasting with the long-term commitment required for education. Economic conditions and limited leisure activities in disadvantaged communities further exacerbate this issue, leading to higher spending on alcohol and tobacco as a form of entertainment. Meanwhile, average household income has risen to approximately 9,400 lei, reflecting a 3.2% increase from the previous year.
