The Day of the Apuseni Mountains will be celebrated for the first time on September 21, 2026, following the official establishment by Law no. 13/2026. This day honors the historical and cultural values of the region, allowing authorities to organize various events and activities. The date was chosen for its historical significance related to Avram Iancu and the 1848 Revolution, marking his arrival in Blaj with a large gathering. The law encourages cultural, educational, and artistic events, as well as local producer promotions. The first official celebration in Alba County will include a cultural café event aimed at highlighting the area's cultural and tourist potential.
