21 de companii din agricultură, amendate cu 83,2 milioane de lei. Cum ar fi fost stabilite prețurile semințelor pentru fermieri

The Competition Council has fined 21 agricultural companies a total of 83.2 million lei for price-fixing practices regarding seeds and plant protection products. Investigations revealed that producers and distributors colluded to set resale prices through contracts and voucher systems, limiting distributors' pricing freedom. The largest fine was imposed on Agrii, amounting to 17.9 million lei. Most companies acknowledged their violations, leading to reduced fines, while Agricover received immunity for cooperating with the investigation. The Council emphasized that recommended prices should not become mandatory, as this restricts competition among distributors.
