The Defense Committee approved the deployment of up to 20 Romanian soldiers to support Ukraine in France and the UK. The proposal will be voted on by the joint Parliament session. The committee meeting was marked by heated exchanges among members, particularly regarding procedural issues. AUR deputy Dan Tanasă expressed concerns about the potential for Romania to be drawn into conflict with Russia. The project has now moved forward for a vote in the upcoming plenary session of the Parliament.
