Two Canadian builders have created a 185 square meter house using 612,000 recycled plastic bottles in Nova Scotia. The project aimed to showcase the practical use of recycled materials in construction. The bottles were processed into a specialized material for composite panels, resulting in a three-bedroom concept house. Notably, the panels demonstrated impressive wind resistance, withstanding speeds of 524 km/h, which is double that of a Category 5 hurricane. JD Composites is exploring further applications for smaller housing and shelters.
