He warned that metro services could halt after September 16 if employees do not receive their salaries. Artimon explained that a proposed fare increase from 5 lei to 7 lei was canceled, which would not have sufficiently raised salaries. He emphasized that the fare hike was necessary for cash flow, as the state failed to provide the required subsidy. The interim Transport Minister recently annulled the fare increase planned for January 2026, which was initially agreed upon by the previous government.
