The European Commission will provide Romania with €14.3 million from the EU Solidarity Fund to aid recovery from severe floods in 2025, particularly impacting Salina Praid. The funds will help cover emergency response and recovery costs after significant damage occurred in various regions, including Central, South Muntenia, and North-East Romania. Overall, nearly €135 million has been approved for Romania and Spain due to natural disasters in 2025, with Spain receiving €120.5 million for drought and wildfires. The funds for Romania will be disbursed shortly following approval from the European Parliament and Council.
