Romanian firefighters have completed their mission in Greece, where they assisted in combating wildfires near Athens. A total of 120 firefighters were deployed in three contingents from August to September, engaging in monitoring and direct firefighting efforts. The last group returned home on Wednesday after two weeks of service. Their operations included patrolling high-risk areas and conducting joint exercises with Greek firefighters. The initiative is part of a European program aimed at preventing and managing wildfires in southern Europe, with participation from several countries.
