Bucharest plans to acquire 100 new articulated trolleybuses to enhance public transport capacity. The mayor announced the tender with a budget of 492 million RON. Bids are due by October 5, 2026, and the vehicles will feature modern amenities such as air conditioning, accessibility ramps, and advanced safety systems. They must also have a minimum range of 20 kilometers on battery power. The project will be partially funded by European funds, totaling nearly 596 million RON, with over 119 million RON as non-reimbursable financing.
