Around 10,000 reservists from Bucharest and Ilfov will be called to military units for the "MOBEX B-IF-262" mobilization exercise from October 5 to 12, 2026. This exercise aims to assess the readiness of the population for defense and involves various national security institutions. It is not a declaration of mobilization but a test of response mechanisms in case of a serious threat. Reservists are legally obligated to participate and will undergo training, medical evaluations, and receive military gear. They will also engage in shooting sessions and practical instruction. Failure to comply with participation requirements may result in fines.
