The '1 leu per day' program in Arad has led to a significant increase in public transport ticket sales, doubling in August compared to July. The number of sold tickets rose from 36,072 in July to 80,556 in August, while subscriptions increased from 3,207 to 5,772. Mayor Călin Bibarț views these results as a positive sign of changing mobility behavior among residents. The program aims to reduce transport costs and promote public transport as a viable alternative. Local authorities will continue to monitor the program's impact.
