Young people under 30 in Romania can receive a monthly financial supplement for their first job through the "STEP UP" project. This initiative aims to support NEET youth who are not in education or employment. The project offers 1,000 lei monthly for the first year of employment and 1,200 lei for the second year. To qualify, individuals must be registered as NEET with AJOFM and secure a full-time, permanent job. The project has a budget of over 854 million lei and targets around 21,200 NEET youth. The goal is to facilitate their integration into the labor market and promote financial independence.
