Bulgaria, lider mondial la stocarea energiei în baterii
Bulgaria has become a global leader in energy storage, enabling solar energy to be utilized during non-sunny hours. By 2025, the country installed 3 GWh of storage capacity, increasing to 8.6 GWh by mid-2026. This advancement is attributed to state funding and simplified project approvals. Bulgaria can theoretically transfer 77% of its solar production to other times, surpassing Chile and Australia. In 2023, stored solar energy accounted for 24% of Bulgaria's evening electricity needs. While Bulgaria accelerates battery investments, Romania sees renewable energy growth but needs to enhance storage capacity for better system balance.
