Fraud attempts increased by 91%, driven by advanced phishing tactics and social engineering. Ransomware attacks also grew by over 153%, affecting various sectors, particularly finance and public institutions. Despite these increases, some incidents like brute force attacks and DDoS attacks saw significant declines. The DNSC emphasizes the need for rapid action in cybersecurity to position Romania as a leader in the field.
