Romania has secured €11.02 billion from the European Commission under the Cohesion Policy for 2021-2027, representing 35.6% of its allocation. The Minister of Investments, Dragoș Pîslaru, noted that this amount has tripled since June 2025, placing Romania second in the EU for total funds received, after Poland. The total allocation for Romania is €41.97 billion, with €30.986 billion being non-reimbursable EU funds. The funds support various sectors including transport, health, and education. The government anticipates that absorption rates will exceed 40% by the end of 2026.
