The Sector 3 City Hall has initiated a major road safety project in Bucharest, focusing on modernizing 1,100 pedestrian crossings and intersections. The first upgraded crossing is located on Lunca Bradului Street near School No. 195. Funded by local resources, the project aims to enhance safety, particularly near schools and high-traffic areas. The total investment exceeds 391 million lei, with additional funding sought from European sources. The upgrades include raised crossings, new lighting, and educational campaigns to reduce accidents. The project is expected to decrease serious accidents by over a third, promoting sustainable urban development.
