The criminal case against Air Flotilla General Nicolae Crețu has been closed, as announced by the Ministry of National Defense. Crețu was investigated for intellectual forgery while serving as commander of the 57th Air Base. The Ministry emphasized its respect for judicial independence and the importance of transparent communication with the public regarding legal proceedings. Crețu was previously awarded the rank of air flotilla general by the Romanian President in January 2025.
