Meduzele au oprit trei reactoare ale unei centrale nucleare din Franţa - Economica.net
The Gravelines nuclear power plant in northern France has shut down three reactors due to a massive influx of jellyfish in its cooling systems. EDF stated that this situation poses no safety risks but required preventive measures, including automatic shutdowns of units 3 and 4. Additionally, production at unit 1 was halved, and unit 2 was also closed. Currently, only one reactor remains operational. Local fishermen have been collecting jellyfish to prevent them from entering the water supply, with 26 tons collected recently. This is not the first incident of this kind, as a similar situation occurred last year, leading to a two-week shutdown.
