Dumitru Chisăliţă, Asociația Energia Inteligentă: Situaţia pe piaţa gazelor va fi mai tensionată în iarnă
Romania is expected to face a more tense gas market situation in the winter of 2026-2027, with potential price increases for electricity bills. The president of the Intelligent Energy Association, Dumitru Chisăliţă, noted that while a crisis is not anticipated, storage levels are significantly lower than in previous years, which could lead to higher prices. He outlined three scenarios for price changes, ranging from a modest increase of 3-5% to a more severe rise of 20%, depending on market conditions and gas storage levels. The upcoming winter may present challenges due to increased demand and limited supply.
