FOTO: Contracte de muncă vechi de 1.900 de ani, descoperite la Roșia Montană, expuse la Muzeul Național de Istorie

Two ancient work contracts, nearly 1,900 years old, discovered in Roșia Montană, are now on display at the National Museum of Romanian History. These wax tablets, part of the exceptional Dacian Wax Tablets collection, provide significant insights into the economic and legal organization of the Roman province of Dacia. The contracts were found during mining operations and are among the few surviving documents that illustrate the practical application of Roman law. The oldest contract dates back to 131 AD, while the second one is from 164 AD, both shedding light on labor relations and mining activities in the region.
