Romania is experiencing a bountiful apricot harvest, leading to lower market prices. Farmers report yields of 20-30 kg per tree, significantly higher than last year. Currently, local apricots are priced at 6-8 lei per kilogram, compared to imported ones at 14-15 lei. Romania ranks seventh in the EU for apricot cultivation, with around 2,000 hectares dedicated to this fruit.
